WonderReveal (β€œwe”) turns a gender reveal into a shared guessing game. This page explains, in plain language, what data we handle to make that happen β€” and what we deliberately don't collect.

What we collect from page creators

When you create a page, we store:

  • The details you type into the create form: parent names, the baby's name or nickname, the due date, your welcome message, and the theme you pick.
  • Your email address β€” used to deliver your links and for support.
  • An optional photo (an ultrasound, for example), if you add one.
  • Payment references from Stripe (session and payment ids). Payment happens entirely on Stripe's checkout: your card number never touches our servers and we never see it.
  • If you arrived through a campaign link (utm parameters), we keep that visit origin attached to the purchase β€” without cookies and without identifying you.

What we collect from guests

Guests play without accounts. When someone votes, we store only:

  • The name they type in.
  • Their guess (Team Boy, Team Girl, or Twins).
  • An optional message for the family.

We do not track guests' IP addresses. To remember that a guest has already voted, their own browser keeps a small local record (localStorage) that never leaves their device.

What we use data for

  • Rendering your reveal page and the live scoreboard.
  • Sending the delivery email with your links and QR code.
  • Filtering messages (an automatic profanity filter, plus the moderation mode you choose).
  • Support, fraud prevention, and keeping the service working.

We do not sell personal data, and there is no advertising on reveal pages.

Services that process data for us

We rely on a small set of processors, each receiving only what its job requires:

  • Stripe β€” payments.
  • Resend β€” transactional email.
  • UploadThing β€” photo hosting.
  • Neon β€” database.
  • Vercel β€” hosting and privacy-friendly analytics without advertising cookies.
  • Sentry β€” error monitoring.

Signing in (optional)

Buying a page never requires an account, and guests never sign in. You may optionally sign in with Google to find the pages you bought: we then receive your name, your email address and your profile picture from Google, stored in our own database at Neon alongside the rest of the app data, and we use the email address only to match it against the pages purchased with it. Signing in grants nothing beyond what the admin link from your purchase email already grants.

Who can see your page

Your reveal page is visible to anyone who has the link, and we ask search engines not to index reveal pages. The admin link is a secret: anyone holding it can control your page β€” share it only with people you trust.

Retention and deletion

After the reveal, your page and its guest book stay available as a keepsake. You can ask us to delete your page and everything attached to it at any time β€” email us from the address you used at purchase and we'll remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU, LGPD in Brazil, and similar laws elsewhere), you can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data. Write to hello@wonderreveal.com and we'll respond.

Children

Creating a page and purchasing are for adults (18+). Guests vote at the invitation, and under the responsibility, of the party hosts.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
